If I want to walk through the snowy forest in winter, I need to plan a road trip. Luckily, my family and friends like these kinds of trips during holidays. This year, I had a chance to catch a stunning photo reference during a forest walk for my painting.
I sketched it as soon as I returned to our hotel room. When I arrived home, I painted again, trying different color combinations, and immediately started a new painting on a larger format.
The soft, warm sunlight beaming through the trees of the calm winter forest became the heart theme of this painting.

New Year – New Creative Ideas
Being so passionate about watercolors and nature, I love how sketching and recording my thoughts about my source of inspiration can help with the process of creating a composition close to the painting I have in my mind.
I like to experiment, and at the beginning of this year, I already have several different watercolor experiments in process. Visit soon to see what’s new!
